What is compounded Semaglutide/B12?

Studies have shown that Semaglutide reduced appetite, improved food intake regulation, and reduced food cravings in addition to improved glycemic control. The greatest weight loss benefits were observed when Semaglutide is used in combination with B12 or lipotropic injections along with lifestyle changes. 

The common side effects of Semaglutide are:

To help our patients combat the unpleasant symptoms they may encounter while adjusting to the medication, we provide prescription antinausea medications. Our staff will review the available options during your consultation.

Semaglutide will need to be injected once weekly. 

Dosing for Semaglutide begins at 0.25 mg a week and increases over the span of 4-week increments until the goal dosage of 2.4 mg a week is reached. Here is the recommended dosing schedule:

Week 1-4: 0.25 mg weekly

Week 5-8: 0.5 mg once weekly

Week 9-12: 1 mg once weekly

Week 13-16: 1.7 mg once weekly

Week 17+:  2.4 mg once weekly (maximum dose)

Please keep in mind that this is a recommendation. Most patients find success at a low dose and choose to remain there for more than a 4-week span. Increases in dosing are not mandatory.  Our provider will work with you throughout the program to find the right dose for your individual situation.

In 2 months, you could lose up to 10-20 pounds.
In 4 months, you could lose up to 40 pounds or more!

  What is compounded Tirzepatide?

Tirzepatide works by activating both the GLP-1 and GIP receptors in your body. This triggers the release of insulin from your pancreas that blocks glucagon, a hormone that increases blood sugar levels. As a result, your blood sugar levels can be controlled effectively, especially after a meal. In addition, tirzepatide affects certain chemicals in the brain which in turn decreases food intake, increases energy expenditure, and prevents ectopic fat deposition (abnormal fat accumulation in body parts that normally contains small amounts of fat). These effects result in significant weight reductions.

No. While medications such as Semaglutide focus solely on GLP-1 receptors, Tirzepatide utilizes both GIP and GLP-1 receptors to treat weight loss. Due to this unique dual activity property, it is also referred to as “twincretin.”  The result is greater weight loss.

Because Tirzepatide works to alter how your body digests food, it may lead to various stomach issues as you adjust to the medication. Most patients report mild effects that usually resolve themselves over time, including:
