WHAT IS DIOLAZE LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

While it is powerful, the Diolaze laser is a gentle, ultra-fast treatment that safely eliminates unwanted hair more quickly and conveniently, achieving very long lasting results which are permanent in many cases.
HOW DOES THE DIOLAZEXL LASER WORK?
The DiolazeXL laser concentrates energy beams on the hair follicles during their growth stage. The pigment in the hair follicles absorbs the energy of the laser, which disables or destroys the hair follicle. Disabled or damaged hair follicles can no longer grow strong hair. What hair they do grow is weak. Destroyed hair follicles do not grow hair again–this is permanent hair removal.
During the laser treatment, Diolaze combines the technology of the wavelength laser energy with a sapphire 3CP tip that simultaneously cools the treatment area. This is how the device achieves results faster without pain or downtime.
To ensure your treatment is as effective as possible, every follicle in the treatment area must be addressed by the laser during the growth stage of the hair. This requires several laser treatments over a period of time.
Pre and Post Procedure Instructions
Things to Know Before Laser Hair Removal Treatment:
• The area to be treated must be clean-shaven (the day before or morning of).
• Avoid UV exposure 7 days prior to your treatment.
• Avoid sunless tanning products prior to your treatment.
• Avoid chemical peels and other laser procedures 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
• Exfoliate the area the day prior to remove any residual color.
• Come to your appointment with clean skin (no lotions) in the area to be treated.
• Stop waxing, tweezing, and chemical epilation 3 weeks prior to treatment.
• If you have a history of cold sores, we recommend that you take and anti-viral medication (Valtrex) prior to your treatment, please call our clinic for prescription.
• You cannot be treated a laser if you have used Accutane or similar products within the last 6 months.
• If you have Botox or dermal fillers in the area to be treated, wait 14 days both before and after injection to receive laser hair removal treatments.
What to do after Laser Hair Removal Treatment:
• Avoid extended exposure for 7 days post-treatment.
• Avoid using seat warmers immediately after treatment.
• Avoid any additional laser treatments or chemical procedures on the treated area for at least 2 weeks.
• Use Rejuvenative Moisturizer or Aloe Vera on the treated area for 1-2 days following your treatment.
• Tylenol, cool towels, or ice packs can be used for post-treatment discomfort.
• In the rare case you experience any side effects, such as hypo- or hyper-pigmentation, prolonged redness or swelling, or blistering, call or come in for instructions on treatment.
• If blisters happen to occur, do NOT puncture.
• If skin is broken, apply antibiotic ointment until healed.
• To achieve the best results, complete the full treatment schedule at the recommended intervals (typically 4-6 weeks).
• Exfoliate treated areas every 2-3 days after your treatment to minimize risk of ingrown hairs.
• You should not perform any physical activity that increase body temperature or blood pressure within 2 hours before and after treatment.

What to expect during the Diolaze procedure
Diolaze treatments are faster than other hair removal lasers. Depending on the size of your treatment area, a Diolaze treatment takes anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, but no longer.
The handheld laser targets the hair follicles in the treatment area painlessly and efficiently. There is little to no pain due to the Diolaze Triple Cooling System. While the Diolaze laser burns and destroys the hair follicles, the cooling mechanism prevents patients from feeling pain.
In the following 1-2 weeks after your treatment, the portion of the hair shaft that is below the skin is pushed out. You will notice hairs shedding or falling away during this time.
For ideal results, we recommend 4-6 sessions, typically lasting 20 to 30 minutes, performed in intervals of 4-6 weeks. Smaller treatment areas, such as the upper lip or sideburns can be treated in minutes.
